I wish the evidence behind cordyceps were stronger because what evidence does exist seems to be heading in a positive direction. Unfortunately, many of the studies have small issues that muddy the research interpretation. However, that said, there’s still some exciting research - for example, in this study [1], where participants consumed a mushroom blend that was primarily cordyceps-based, people experienced a notable improvement in VO2max - a powerful metric of health and performance - compared to the placebo, non-cordyceps consuming participants. So, if we could get more high-quality studies to look into cordyceps effects, it might provide an awesome avenue of research. And, since there is some research trickling out over its physical performance benefits, it’s been included in the BeElevated formula!
